Osaka Kyoiku University offers an overseas teaching practicum program in Taiwan where masters course students teach classes at an elementary school attached to National Kaohsiung Normal University. This project was founded in 2012 with the goal of advancing the graduate students' understanding of children who were born in a multicultural environment and to give an opportunity for the graduate students to reflect on what it means "to teach" in the process of making their lesson plans. In this project, graduate students of various majors are chosen in one group and create a lesson. By combining graduate students of various majors together, the participants can make lessons beyond their own major, resulting in many different kinds of classes every year. This paper covers the lesson plan of 2015 Generation III Group γ. Group γ made a lesson where 6th graders at primary school in Taiwan made picture books using onomatopoeia. This lesson enhanced the primary school pupils' interest in their own language through the onomatopoeia expression that is known as Japanese particular language culture, and considered the possibilities of a cross-cultural language activity program.
