函数解析学の中でも、作用素論、特に、ヒルベルト空間上の有界線形作用素および行列に関する不等式を中心に勉強をしています。今は、それを基礎として情報幾何学や量子情報理論などの分野の様々な幾何学的様相に絡んだ定量的な評価を中心に考察し、作用素論的な枠組みの構築とその幾何学的構造の解明に関心があります。また、数学教育に関しても、「数学的な考え方」の育成について、考えようとしています。
