日本教科教育学会誌, 39(3) 103-108, Dec 20, 2016 Peer-reviewedOne report summarizes the contents of considerations made in Japan Curriculum Research and Development Association’s 42nd convention forum in Narto University of Education (October 23, 2016) as a specification debater. The question of this forum “how does Curriculum Research and Development contribute to the practice in a school?” It focused on the way that curriculum research and development should be and the direction in which it should go research, and the scientification of educational practice, which aimed at “the contribution of the study to school education practice.” There are collaboration a researcher and a practitioner, research organizations, and between their roles to be reviened. Curriculum Research and Development is advanced through the proposal of educational practice, and an improvement and reform. How to develop learning from the experiences of one another among studens on the actual situation of schools, the state of the research which secures authentic learning was discussed. When one pursues “Practice of Theory”, and “Theorization of Practice”, it was presupposed that all of following issues; ①Research not only including the purpose rationality of theory and a model but situation compatibility and concrete feasibility ②The view whether what we have to do with a subject in the form in which growth and development of a child are a foregone conclusion

Journal of Japanese Educatinal Research Associaon for the Social Studies, 80 33-44, 2014 Peer-reviewedStudies on the effectiveness of evaluation systems on Social Studies have been carried out in various domains and levels; a survey on actual academic achievement, methods, processes and activities for evaluation, and development of exam papers to list a few. However, no evaluation methodology that effectively put theory into practice has yet been established so far. Why? One cause may lie in difference between educational evaluation methods in schools and outcomes of the examinations that focuses on more practical knowledge and understandings. The latter appeals more in the wider society. Could the scoring system that considers various viewpoints benefit students acquiring knowledge in social studies? Given the situations where schools and teachers are currently in, how can we evaluate educational outcomes in more practical manner? Every research reflects in method various unique aspects and agenda that focus on practicality of the evaluation systems. Also, it is necessary to recognize the importance of developing an evaluation practice unique to social studies. The research in social studies lessons improvement is also much called upon considering that the evidences for evaluation derived from differing viewpoints of academic achievement depending on the social studies theory.

The investigation of instructional practices, lesson views, evaluation and critique, has not been thoroughly undertaken.Moreover, such critiques have for the better part been commentaries and not plans geared toward the improvement of curriculum or instruction. In the future, analyzing the lesson purpose, contents, lesson planning and methodology of instruction must be clarified. Then with further analysis, it will be possible to develop new ways to improve instruction. This would entail the examination of the lesson's composition including teacher's approach, method of instruction, and evaluation of lessons. This would be based on class research from the grassroots level. As a result, it is hoped that this practice would strengthen collaboration between the researcher and the practitioner, which in the long run will benefit each school's curriculum.

(6) 43-51, 2007This report is based on the theory "Understanding by Design" and shows undergraduates who are supposed to give student teaching in the near future the development of an elective subject "Practical Theory of Social Studies Education" that demands making of Thought Support Type Unit Teaching Plan with which we can concretely practice the unification of guidance and evaluation. I also examine the effect of the plan in this report. This program can require students to make a close, concrete teaching plan that contains many elements to constitute a real class, teaching material making, guidance technology, child understanding and so on. In addition, by showing several typical examples of a unit plan, materials for teachers and other materials, This program enables students to refer to them through all the study periods. An unified style by digital data makes a point of exchange of opinions with other persons clear and enables students to share the information.

V, Curricula and methods of education and allied subjects, 54(1) 47-60, Sep, 2005This paper considers a possibility that "Authentic Assessment" can apply for the evaluation framework in Social Studies. Reports on "foreign workers problem" written by students are regarded as one object of performance assessment, and they are analyzed from the points of deepening knowledge and understanding, thinking and judgment, by referring Concept Maps. Moreover, the results are evaluated from the. aspects of Cognitive Domain (problem recognition, problem solving), Affective Domain (attitude which keeps to consider the social problems, expression which results from one' s firm belief, faith and feeling), and Thinking skills (usage of suitable information, correctness of interpretation on information, validity of interpreting process). As conclusions, the author suggests that teachers have to make efforts to 1) promote the student's skills for explanation by demonstrating concrete examples and data, 2) develop student's ability of using concept maps, making values sketches, and 3) improve their own ability for teaching reading information, interpreting them rightly, and examining validity of their interpretation.

社会系教科教育学会第33回研究発表大会, Mar 18, 2022, 社会系教科教育学会本発表では,アジアの社会系教科教育学の研究者・実践者と協力して,IEA(国際教育到達度評価学会)が2016年に世界24ヶ国で行った調査問題(調査対象が中学2年生相当)から,小学校6年生向けに一部抜粋,改変し作成した質問紙による子どもたちへの市民性育成の調査を行い,現時点での結果状況を報告する。
